Biography

Benda is a writer, illustrator and visual artist with a practice in print, sculpture and public art.

Awards:
~Recipient of the Barstow Artist-in-Residence, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council Next Step Grant, Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant and the Jerome/MCBA Mentorship.  

Recent Exhibitions include:
"To Hold the Land" at UW-Stout's Furlong Gallery (McKnight Foundation and Witt Siasoco), The Dennos Museum's Regional Juried Exhibition, and awarded works at the Duluth Art Institute's Arrowhead Biennial.
