Biography

Sabah Shah Sobhan is a full-time Executive Office Specialist in the Office for Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. In this position, she is responsible for administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence. She also manages SAP software and monitors department budget and having held positions in this field, Sabah is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs to various kinds of department needs.  She has increased efficiency in several of her assigned roles and values effectiveness and efficiency in the office. Sabah is skilled in interpersonal communication and works with various campus stakeholders to meet the mission of the office.

Sabah graduated from Independent University [IUB] in her home country Bangladesh with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2005.  After her college years, she served as a banking operation analysts at Prime Bank in Bangladesh, being responsible for auditing corporate clients banking operations.

Sabah moved to Connecticut in 2012 before moving to Mount Pleasant in 2015. She enjoys raising her two kids with her husband and is active in the community. In her personal time, she likes to spend time with her family by adventuring new places and trying out new cuisines. She likes a variety of sports such as soccer, crickets, badminton, table tennis and water activities.
