Our country needs skilled, dedicated leaders in the public sector now more than ever. With our minor in public administration, you’ll be ready to make a real impact on government and nonprofit organizations.
You’ll study public sector organizations and how those organizations actively manage personnel and budgetary resources to improve the delivery of services to the public. This will help you build a skill-set to solve today’s governance challenges.
The minor in public administration is an excellent complement to any undergraduate major, including management; history; military science; journalism; philosophy; psychology; sociology; parks and recreation; and leisure services administration.

A minor in public administration leads to rewarding careers at any level of government, from city manager to policy analyst to contract specialist. Many of our graduates combine a minor in public administration with other interests to pursue careers in sociology, economics, nursing, community services and beyond.
