Build a Better Book is an iniative connected with eight different libraries and makerspaces across the country. The idea is to engage middle and high school students in creating accessible picture books for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The Center is proud to join this effort to meet an authentic need while creaing real projects for local and national audiences.
Through this project, students will:
work with faculty and professionals
engage in various maker technologies, such as 3D printing, paper circuitry, and design thinking
participate in meaningful discussions and simulations to better understand their audience for the project
