Programs for Individuals



Secret Compartments: K - 2 Grade, $15
Dates: September 15, 22, and 29
Time: 4 - 5 pm

Get creative in this learn-it, try-it, create-it style workshop. Students will explore repurposing found items to add hidden treasures and special hiding spots to everyday items. Together we will try different linkages and attachments, create a shared hidden compartment, and then brainstorm and create our own unique projects! Be inspired to view items in a new way and sign-up today!

Stories and STEM: K - 2 Grade, $15
Dates: October 14, 21, and 28
Time: 4 - 5 pm

Pair up two beloved activities- great books and great projects. Each week we will read a story and complete an activity based on the themes and ideas in the books. Wrapped Up in Nature: 3 - 5 grade, $15

Time: 4 - 5 pm

In this three-week workshop, you will be sent into nature to find objects to incorporate into several different displays. Whether twisting, tying, folding, or looping,  we will wind up having fun completing each activity- all of which involve some type of wrapping! Tiny Towns Take Shape: 3 -5 grade, $15
Dates: October 14, 21, and 28
Times: 4 - 5 pm

In this workshop, you will consider the shapes that exist all around you before designing and making your own tiny town. Beginning with a 2-dimensional plan, our staff will help you transition to creating a variety of 3-dimensional pieces to be used however you are inspired!



Cranky Contraptions: 6 - 8 grade, $15

Design, build, and create automation that tells a story, represents an item, or recreates art. Cardboard automata is a type of mechanical sculpture made from simple materials that let you bring your story to life! As you build, you can explore simple machine elements such as cams, levers, and linkages in a fun and engaging way! Fun with Science: 6 - 8 grade, $15
Dates: Coming Soon  

Apply the scientific method through hands-on science experiments. Examine the basic principles of electricity, matter, sound, and physics through investigation to examine how these principles are present in the world around us. This month you will get curious about a common critter. Use your powers of observation to notice the traits and behaviors of your neighborhood squirrels. Our design challenge will put your engineering skills and creativity to the test!
