This new program for Fall 2019 is perfect for students who are interested in taking their making to the next level.  During typical field trip, family event, open make, or summer camp we are unable to utilize some of the more technical materials and machines at our disposal.  That's where MakeShop comes in!

What to Expect:

The makerspace will be open for 6th  - 8th graders from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.  Unlike Open MakesCenter staff WILL offer direct instruction on the specified machines or materials chosen for that particular event, as well as provide assistance as students apply their learning to individual projects.

Why Attend?

This opportunity is great for students:

  • very familiar with our makerspace

  • interested in exploring new materials

  • who benefit from a variety of options

MakeShop may fill up quickly.  To serve as many students as possible, registration will be released on a month-by-month basis.  In addition to registering for this free event, students will also need to have a completed Consent Form on file for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Please contact Ashley O'Neil at biede1aj@cmich.edu with any questions.
