Field trips are made available at no cost to grades 4th -9th in the Great Lakes Bay Region thanks to a generous gift from the Grace A. and Herbert H. Dow Foundation. Classrooms that do not meet that criteria are responsible for their own transportation costs and a nominal fee for consumables.
The Center for Excellence in STEM Education is pleased to provide another offer On-Location Programming in addition to our
On-Campus Field Trips. This means a makerspace experience that comes to YOU! If you are looking for a way to integrate hands-on activities, integrate skills across subject areas, and expose students to new technology, consider an On-Location Program for the 2018-2019 school year. All field trips are designed with a focus on process over product. Students will have exposure to new experiences, concepts, and materials. When students are building, a focus is placed on building drafts and prototypes verses completed projects.
