04.22.2024 - Sherman Lake YMCA Camp, Augusta, MI, seeks a Camp Counselor. Overnight Camp Counselors will live in cabins with campers for the 6-day overnight camp session. Campers are placed into groups based on ages 7-15 years old. Working with a co counselor, they will adventure through a week of scheduled activities like archery, rock climbing, team building, fire building, arts and crafts, swimming in the lake and many other wild camp activities. The goal for this role is to work with campers on building character and learning core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Overnight Camp Counselors will work from Sunday at 1 p.m. through Friday at 6 p.m. with 3-hour breaks Monday-Thursday. Meals are provided throughout the working period and housing is available over the weekends when the program is not in session. Overnight Camp Counselors start at $425 per week.
