College of Medicine Faculty and Staff

The CMU College of Medicine faculty, academic and support staff are our most valuable resource. The faculty and staff of the College of Medicine are dedicated to achieving the mission, realizing the vision and upholding values of the College of Medicine. Our emphasis is on training the next generation of physicians to provide patient-centered and evidence-based health care for medically underserved populations in Michigan. We aim to engage our physicians in leading health care transformation, lifelong learning and team-based education.

The goal of the Office of Faculty and Staff Affairs is to provide professional and personal development and support for all those working for our College of Medicine to succeed. Faculty and Staff Affairs team members work with the Discipline Chairs and the Faculty Advancement Appointment and Promotion Committee (FAAC) to manage the appointment, reappointment, promotion and tenure process. Other areas include oversight of faculty development programs, the faculty annual performance and academic review process, and faculty and staff recruitment.

Additionally, when CMU launched its medical school in 2009, it partnered with Saginaw-based Covenant HealthCare and Ascension St. Mary's Hospital and created CMU Medical Education Partners.
