    Know what it will cost

We work hard to keep an excellent education within reach. But an education shouldn't just be affordable, it should have real value. How does a job placement rate of 94.3% within six months of graduation2 and a salary that's 26% higher than the national median just two years out of school3 sound?

If you need more reasons, we've got plenty!

    Tuition and fees

CMU has upper- and lower-level tuition fees, depending on the number of credits you've earned. Lower level tuition is $499 per credit hour, while upper level is $552. Students with less than 56 completed credit hours pay the lower level. Once a student reaches 56 completed credits, their tuition shifts to the upper level.

      Beyond Tuition

As a main campus student, you'll need to think about housing and food costs, too. Housing and food can range quite a bit, depending on which residence hall you select, but our estimate for the year is about $12,902. Transfer students have the option to live on campus.

You can get an understanding of the full, estimated cost of attendance on our site, but here are some estimates that include your tuition - assuming you'll take 15 credits per semester - as well as housing and food:

      On-campus

Lower-level tuition and fees estimate: $28,322

Upper-level tuition and fees estimate: $29,912

      Off-campus

Lower-level tuition and fees estimate: $24,294

Upper-level tuition and fees estimate: $25,884
