Central Michigan University students, faculty and staff are invited to meet a candidate for the dean of the College of Business Administration from 1-1:50 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the Grawn Hall 100.

Christopher Moberg is senior associate dean of academic programs at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he also previously served as associate dean of academic programs. He also held roles as both the marketing department chair and a professor of marketing. Moberg holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University, an MBA from Miami University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of New Mexico.

In September, Michael Gealt, executive vice president and provost, announced the nationwide search for a new dean following Charles Crespy's decision to step down Sept. 30. Karl Smart has been serving as interim dean during the search.

The dean of the College of Business Administration will lead all operations of the college — which is composed of several academic departments, programs and institutes — and provide leadership for all undergraduate and graduate programs within the college. The new dean also will serve on the Council of Deans, Academic Senate and Academic Planning Council.
