Clarke archivist on state board
Marian Matyn will serve 3 years on the advisory body for historical records planning
Clarke Historical Library archivist and associate professor Marian Matyn has been appointed to the Michigan State Historical Records Advisory Board by Gov. Rick Snyder.
The board, housed within the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, serves as a central advisory body for historical records planning. It also works with the National Historical Publications and Records Commission to offer re-grants to small historical organizations and institutions in Michigan that preserve archival records and make them accessible to the public.
Her term expires Dec. 31, 2021.
