CMU side quest summer: Alternative breaks

Summer's break from classes gave Central Michigan University students an opportunity to give back through Alternative Breaks.

A separate group of students traveled to Alaska to help improve facility access to people with disabilities.
Students can sign up for alternative breaks also during winter and spring breaks.
Other students traveled to Florida to help sea turtle populations through a local non-profit.
Each Alternative Breaks group consists of 10 students, including two trained student leaders.
One additional group of students provided support to lift up children and families.
The group traveled to Florida to provide assistance.
