CMU Varsity League of Legends and Valorant qualify for ESC Conference Championship
Central Michigan University Esports Varsity League of Legends and Valorant teams have qualified for the Esports Collegiate Conference (ESC) Championship, marking a significant competitive milestone for the program.
Both teams secured their positions through strong regular-season performances against a competitive field of collegiate programs across the ESC. Their qualification reflects the continued growth of CMU Esports, as well as the competitive excellence and development of its students.
The ESC Championship brings together the top eight teams in the conference to compete for a conference title. CMU’s representation in both League of Legends and Valorant highlights the program’s ability to compete at a high level across multiple titles.
Competition begins March 28 in Akron, Ohio, hosted by the University of Akron. CMU’s League of Legends team will open play against No. 1 ranked Ball State at 9 a.m., followed by Valorant taking on No. 3 ranked Eastern Michigan at 2:30 p.m. Fans can watch the ESC Championship live at twitch.tv/esc_conference and twitch.tv/zipsesports.
