Open forums set for Associate Vice President/Facilities Management finalists
Candidates to visit CMU’s campus
Mary Hill, vice president for finance and administrative services and chief financial officer, has appointed a committee to lead the search for the university’s next associate vice president for facilities management.
The Central Michigan University community will have the opportunity to meet with the finalists in the search for the next Central Michigan Associate Vice President for facilities management. Following a national search, candidates have been invited to campus to meet with university stakeholders and attend open forums.
Members of the community are invited to meet the candidates, learn about their backgrounds, and hear about their interest in this leadership position during the following forums:
Tuesday, April 28 – Andy Reihl

Reihl is currently serving the Central Michigan University community as Director of University Engineering and Planning. Reihl is an experienced facilities leader with more than twenty years of experience in strategic initiatives that strengthen university operations. Reihl’s planning, programming, design experience include leadership in development of the Master Plan and Campus Programming Initiative. Reihl earned an Associate in Applied Science in Architectural Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Facilities Management from Ferris State University and is a certified educational facilities professional.
Wednesday, April 29 – Kori Jo Bennett

Bennett, an executive facilities leader with more than two decades of experience in industrial and utility portfolio management, has been serving as a senior manager in construction and facilities operations. Her background includes strategic oversight of large scale infrastructure, capital construction initiatives, and sustainable utility operations across Michigan’s public and private sectors. In addition to her facilities and infrastructure work, Bennett has served as a Federal Incident Commander, contributing to emergency response coordination and operational continuity efforts. Bennett holds a Master of Science in Technological Processes and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology Management from Saginaw Valley State University. She also earned a Master’s Certificate in Project Management.
Thursday, April 30 – Samuel H. Phillips

Phillips is a facilities management executive with 34-years of experience in the university and hospitality industries, developing and managing the full scope of university facilities and business operations as well as hotel and convention center management. Phillips received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Hotel Administrator.
