Central Michigan University and the Great Lakes Loons will honor and support local military members and veterans with a Military Appreciation/Memorial’s Day game. The Loons will battle the Dayton Dragons at 3:05 pm on May 27th. Donations for care-packages will be collected during the game. Requested items are male and female toiletries (toilet paper, shaving cream, toothpaste etc.). Collected items will support Midland’s own 1460th Transportation Company and Corunna’s 144th Military Police Company as they deploy to Afghanistan.Read more

The State Summer Games is the largest of 12 State competitions offered each year. More than 6,000 athletes, coaches, chaperones and volunteers attend each year on the campus of Central Michigan University. Athletes travel from almost all of the 83 counties in Michigan to compete.Read more

Join CMU Alumni and friends for an exciting evening as the Great Lakes Loons take on the South Bend Silver Hawks at Dow Diamond at 7:05 p.m. Dow Diamond – 215 E. Main St. – Midland, MI 48640 Tickets are only $18.00 for each adult and $13.00 for children ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free. Bring the whole family! We will be in the Northern Lights Pavilion. Price includes ticket and a dinner buffet. The buffet will include BBQ Chicken, Jumbo Hot Dogs, Jumbo Bratwurst, 1/3 lb. Hamburger/Cheeseburgers, Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, Coleslaw, Whole Kernel Corn, Baked Beans, Soda, Iced Tea, Lemonade, Cookies, and Brownies. Stay for the fireworks after the game!
