Alumni Spotlight: Matt Franklin

Matt Franklin (BCA '04) is an Emmy award winning journalist and anchor of the evening and nightside newscasts on ABC12 news. He brings decades of news experience to viewers across mid-Michigan.

Matt graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. In 2014, he was inducted into the inaugural “10 Under 10 Class” at CMU, where he was recognized for his career and dedication to the community. He feels that much of his success is attributed to the CMU community, which is why he is proud to be a member of the CMU Alumni Association Board of Directors.
