Central Michigan University prepares graduates to lead with purpose, from their first job after commencement to lasting careers of impact and achievement. The 10 Within 10 alumni awards program honors graduates who are making a difference within a decade of earning their degree.

This year’s class of honorees represents a wide range of fields — including public health, marketing, sales, fashion and service. Each member of the 2026 class brings excellence, innovation and heart to their work and their communities.

The CMU Alumni Association is proud to recognize these 10 recipients as the 13th class of 10 Within 10. Honorees were selected from more than 80 nominations.

Meet this year’s 10 Within 10 recipients

Kara Agby, Class of 2018, College of the Arts and Media

Kara Agby is the director of partnership marketing and naming rights for the Detroit Lions. Named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Sports for 2025, she rose from manager to director in three years and was part of the Golden State Warriors organization during the team’s 2022 NBA Championship run. A former Leadership Safari guide at CMU, Kara credits her involvement in Residence Life, SAPA and the Homecoming Committee for redirecting her from a pre-med path — and she now returns to campus to help the next generation of students find theirs.

In her first year as a manager, her team closed more than $2 million in business, and she closed a record-setting deal for the region. She continues to give back by recruiting CMU graduates to Gartner and mentoring current Delta Zeta members.
