Board of Trustees to consider changes to Global Campus

Operating budget, tuition rates also on the agenda

The Central Michigan University Board of Trustees will discuss changes to the name and structure of the university’s Global Campus when it meets at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30 for its formal session.

Trustees also will review a proposal for the university’s operating budget for fiscal year 2022-23 and consider tuition rates for the upcoming academic year.

Thursday’s meeting is open to members of the university community and general public. In-person seating for up to 25 individuals will be available in the President’s Conference Room/Lake Superior Room in the Bovee University Center. The meeting also will be available to view via this live stream link, and a recording of the meeting will remain online until 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening.

Several Board of Trustees committees also will hold meetings this week. Highlights of the Wednesday meeting agendas include:
  • 12:45-1:00 p.m. — Policy and Bylaws Committee: Members will consider new traffic ordinances and traffic control orders during this brief session.
  • 1:00-2:00 p.m. — Academic and Student Affairs Committee: Evan Montague, executive director of Student Success, will provide an update on new student orientation, and Shaun Holtgreive, interim associate vice president of student affairs, will discuss upcoming student programs including IMPACT, Leadership Safari, Main Stage and Homecoming. 
  • 2:15-3:15 p.m. — Finance and Facilities Committee: Committee members will review consent agenda items, including changes to several investment policies, a gift administration fee, review of the quarterly endowments, scholarships and awards report, and approval of an easement. 
The trustees-faculty and trustees-student liaison committees do not meet in June.

Members of the university community and the general public may attend Wednesday’s committee meetings in person in the Bovee University Center’s Lake Superior Room or via this live stream link. Recordings of committee meetings will be available for view online through 9 p.m. Thursday, June 30.

In accordance with the Board of Trustees bylaws, public comment will be allowed for Thursday's formal session by submitting a request online or visiting the Office of the President in Warriner Hall.
