Central Michigan University (CMU), Innovation and Online is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Michigan State Police (MSP). We have collaborated to develop a transformative workforce development plan aimed at elevating law enforcement professional skills and fostering leadership within the MSP.

The partnership solidifies a unique pathway for the nearly 17,000 Michigan Commission On Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) certified law enforcement officers serving across the state to earn undergraduate and graduate degrees.  This initiative has the potential to redefine the landscape of law enforcement training and development and marks a significant step forward in providing access to high-quality educational opportunities.

CMU is renowned for its flexible online education, with over 50-years of experience delivering degree programs and professional development to working professionals both online and at distance. By partnering with CMU’s Innovation and Online, we will offer tailored professional development experiences designed for adult learners who need flexible options to balance their demanding work schedules while pursuing their academic goals.

CMU’s Innovation and Online and the MSP look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on Michigan’s law enforcement personnel and the communities they serve.
