Faculty member recognized for Poe studies
Association honors Jeffrey Weinstock for article published in 2019.
The Poe Studies Association has named Central Michigan University English Language and Literature faculty member Jeffrey Weinstock winner of the James W. Gargano Award.
Weinstock was honored for his article, "Before the After: Anticipatory Anxiety and Experience Claimed in Poe's Angelic Dialogues."
Nominations for the annual award for outstanding articles on Edgar Allan Poe are open to any article about Poe published that year. Weinstock's article appeared in the academic journal Poe Studies (Vol. 52) in 2019.
"I am honored to have been selected for this award by the people who know the scholarship in Edgar Allan Poe," Weinstock said.
The Poe Studies Association recognizes contributions to Poe research annually through awarding the Gargano Award, established in honor of founding member James Gargano.
