CMU is bringing a touch of Oz to campus this fall with a Homecoming Week full of magic, tradition, and maroon-and-gold pride. From October 20–25, students, alumni, and the community are invited to celebrate with a lineup of themed events leading up to the parade and big game.

  • Kickoff – Monday, Oct. 20 at 6 PM
Start your journey down the Maroon and Gold Brick Road at the BioSciences Field for Homecoming Kickoff. The first 100 students will receive free shirts to show off their CMU spirit.
  • Bingo, Pajamas & The Wizard of Oz – Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7 PM
Get cozy in your favorite pajamas and enjoy bingo followed by a screening of The Wizard of Oz in Bioscience 1010, a perfect nod to this year’s theme.
  • Battleship – Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 PM
Make a splash at the SAC Pool with this high-energy competition where teams try to sink each other’s canoes. It’s a wickedly fun twist on a classic game.
  • Cider & Donuts – Thursday, Oct. 23 from 12–2 PM
Take a break on the UC Front Lawn for cider and donuts from Uncle John’s Cider Mill. Because even Dorothy would agree, there’s no place like home (and snacks).
  • Trivia Night – Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 PM
Show off your brains (and maybe a little heart and courage) at Health Professions 1020 during Trivia Night.
  • Rock Rally – Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 PM
The excitement builds at Plachta Auditorium with Rock Rally, a high-energy tradition featuring performances that will have you cheering all night long.

The week wraps up with the iconic Homecoming Parade, bringing together student organizations, the Marching Chips band, and community groups for a celebration that’s truly over the rainbow

These events, hosted by the Office of Student Activities & Involvement, promise a wickedly good time for all. For updates and details, follow @cmuactivities on social media.
