President Davies named to serve on NCAA governance body
Davies will represent Mid-American Conference on Division I Presidential Forum
Central Michigan President Bob Davies has been selected to serve as the Mid-American Conference representative on the NCAA Division 1 Presidential Forum.
"I am honored to represent our conference and to play a greater role in supporting our student-athletes and athletic programs. I look forward to working alongside my colleagues as we navigate the important issues and opportunities facing the NCAA at this time," Davies said.
The purpose of the forum is to implement the NCAA's core value to involve presidential leadership in the governance of intercollegiate athletics at the campus, conference and national level. The forum is composed of one president or chancellor from each of the 32 Division I conferences.
Davies' term begins Aug. 4, 2021, and concludes Aug. 31, 2024.
