Central Michigan University President Bob Davies will deliver his 2023 State of the University Address at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in Warriner Hall’s Plachta Auditorium.

The event is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and community members. For those unable to attend in person, a live broadcast of the event also will be available via livestream.

The address will be followed by a light reception in Warriner Hall’s second-floor atrium.

The speech will reflect on successes of the past year; however, Davies said he is most excited to focus on how CMU will address the challenges facing higher education through its new strategic plan.

“Success as an institution and the impact we have relies on us taking action and rising to the potential defined by our new plan,” Davies wrote in a message to the campus community in October.

Davies said the speech will highlight how the priorities in the strategic plan will be fundamental in guiding CMU for years to come.
