School of Health Sciences Welcomes New Chair

The Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions welcomes Dr. Naveen Sharma as Chair of the School of Health Sciences this fall.

“I'm excited to work with our new Dean, Dr. Jennifer Simpson, to help promote the great programs in HSC, including Public Health, Health Administration, and Exercise Science,” Dr. Sharma stated. “Our exceptional faculty and staff are very enthusiastic and well-equipped to train future leaders in many in-demand health-related fields.”

Dr. Sharma is originally from Windsor, Ontario and has been part of Central Michigan University for twelve years. Over the past six 6 years, he has served as the Division Director for Exercise and Health Sciences. Division Director. Prior to CMU, Dr. Sharma was a Research Associate in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan.

When he’s not on campus, Dr. Sharma enjoys watching all sports, playing chess, and chauffeuring his daughters wherever they need him to.
