Stormy Kromer, CMU partner on new cap
Each sale through Oct. 25 benefits CMU students
Stormy Kromer and Central Michigan University have teamed up for a new take on the state’s most iconic cap.
The officially licensed CMU Stormy Kromer Benchwarmer Cap is available for purchase online now. The wool-blend cap features CMU’s classic maroon coloring with a gold tie and embroidered Action C on the pulldown earband.

To celebrate the launch of the new cap, now through October 25, Stormy Kromer will donate $20 to CMU Student Impact Funds for every cap sold.
“CMU and Stormy Kromer have proud traditions dating back more than 120 years, so it’s a natural partnership,” said Marcie Otteman, deputy chief of alumni relations and constituent engagement. “It’s a literal tip of the cap for that partnership to directly benefit our students today and into the future.”
The CMU Student Impact Funds provide scholarships to lessen students’ financial burden, offering them help when they need it the most.

Each cap is cut and sewn at Jacquart Fabric Products in Ironwood, on the western edge of the Upper Peninsula near the Wisconsin border. At the heart of the family owned and operated business has always been a commitment to supporting their community and fellow Michiganders.
“Giving back is a big reason why I moved home to the U.P. to join my family’s business,” said Gina Jacquart Thorsen, CEO of Jacquart Fabric Products. “We do a lot of giving locally, but we’re always looking for other partnerships that have a charitable component and are a win-win for everyone. In this case, I’m so proud that we can directly impact students on their educational journey while also getting folks geared up for the upcoming Michigan winter.”
With cold-weather tailgates just around the corner, the Stormy Kromer CMU Benchwarmer Cap is the perfect piece to complete your fired-up ensemble.
