CMU Mount Pleasant locations delayed due to weather
University to reopen at 11 a.m. unless otherwise noted
Central Michigan University is delaying operations on its main campus and CMU North building in Mount Pleasant, today, Wednesday, December 10, due to inclement weather. This means the university is closed until 11 a.m. — in-person and synchronous classes scheduled to begin before that time are cancelled, and classes beginning at 11 a.m. or later will take place as planned. Asynchronous classes should not be affected by the delay.
Exams scheduled to begin before 11 a.m. may be rescheduled at the discretion of the faculty instructor. Students should wait for further notice from their instructors regarding exams.
Offices and buildings are closed until 11 a.m.; exceptions include residence halls and residential dining facilities. Employees who work in 24-hour operations or whose services may be needed during the closure should check with their supervisor for specific instructions relative to reporting to work. Faculty and staff who have the ability to work remotely may do so as directed by their supervisor. Class and work activities previously scheduled for remote instruction/work will continue.
A decision on the status of university operations beyond 11 a.m. will be made no later than 9 a.m. We will continue to monitor weather conditions and will communicate any further actions to our community via email and the CMU Facebook and CMU Twitter accounts.
