Alum will support COVID-19 relief efforts, racial injustice programming

Central Michigan University alum Francesca Farzalo, a 2020 graduate who majored in Sociology: Youth Studies concentration and Women and Gender Studies, is partnering with social work faculty to assess how to better support CMU and local students affected by COVID-19 and racial injustice.
Her projects through AmeriCorps VISTA, or Volunteers in Service to America, will include coordinating or supporting COVID-19 relief efforts, racial injustice programming, and volunteerism aimed at helping Isabella County youth.
