University Engagement AVP candidates to visit campus
CMU community invited to attend open forums with finalists
Central Michigan University students, faculty and staff are invited to attend open forums next week to hear from the finalists in the search for CMU’s first Associate Vice President of University Engagement.
Following a national search led by a committee of students, faculty, staff and alumni, three candidates have been selected for on-campus interviews. Open forum dates, times and locations, as well as links for each forum’s livestream, are shared below, along with a brief bio for each candidate.
Dominique Hill: 2:00-3:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025

Dominique Hill currently serves as assistant dean of students for recreation and wellness services at Kent State University. In this role, which he has held since 2023, he oversees several program areas and facilities, including the university’s State of Well-Being initiative and its recreation centers and ice rink. His prior higher education experience includes fifteen years at Baylor University, where he held roles with increasing leadership responsibility, including director of wellness, assistant director for intramural sports, and part-time lecturer. His areas of focus in those prior roles included belonging, customer service and innovation. Hill earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University, where he also earned a master’s degree in Management and Leadership. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hill is a certified life coach and the founder and Chief Empowerment Officer of Dr. D.L. Hill Consulting, LLC.
Jonathan Glenn: 2:00-3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2025

Jonathan Glenn currently serves as the director of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Alma College. In this leadership role, Glenn provided leadership, oversight and budgetary management to the staff of the Diversity & Inclusion area. This includes identifying and executing strategic priorities outlined in the Alma College Evergreen plan; developing and leading educational training sessions and workshops; overseeing the King-Chavez-Parks initiative; and more. He also serves as Alma College’s Duty Title IX Coordinator and supports the Athletics department as football chaplain. His prior leadership roles include, but are not limited to, associate athletic director, assistant director of the Sarah R. Opperman Leadership Institute, and assistant director of Multicultural Academic Student Services, all at CMU. Glenn earned three CMU degrees: a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, a master’s degree in History, and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Theology from Life Christian University and an Associate of Arts from Delta College.

Brent Turner currently serves as a consultant with Keeling and Associates, a consulting, executive search and interim placement firm focused on the areas of Student Affairs, Health, Counseling and Wellness. In this position, which he has held since 2023, Turner advises college presidents, provosts and other senior leaders on a wide range of academic, co-curricular, and staffing decisions. His prior higher education experience includes leadership roles such as executive director of Campus Life at Northwestern University, associate director of Student Involvement at DePaul University, and director of Student Involvement & Leadership and the Cornell Campus Center at Rollins College. Turner holds a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration from New England College; a master’s degree in Educational Policy and Leadership/ Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University; and a bachelor’s degree in Government with a History minor from The College of William & Mary.
