Central Michigan University is Fired Up for the Summer 2022 semester. This site has all of the information and resources you need related to CMU's COVID-19 preparedness and response. CMU actively updates plans and protocols to ensure best practices in coordination with local, state and federal health officials.

These policies and regulations are mandatory for all students, faculty, staff, vendors and campus visitors.
Masks are now optional at CMU in all outdoor and indoor spaces, except those mandated by state or federal guidelines; this may include health clinics, public transportation and more.
CMU will no longer require weekly testing for unvaccinated individuals. CMU will continue to offer testing services for students, faculty and staff:
- Testing for individuals who are symptomatic or close contacts: Please use the CMU Healthscreen app to report symptoms/status. You will be contacted with guidance on testing and next steps.
- Individuals who wish to receive a COVID-19 test for any other reason must call to make an appointment:
- Students: Call Student Health Services at 989-774-6599, option #1.
- Faculty/staff: Call CMU Primary Specialty Clinic at 989-774-7585, option #1.
