COVID-19 Information & Resources

Central Michigan University is Fired Up for the Fall 2022 semester. This site has all of the information and resources you need related to CMU's COVID-19 preparedness and response. CMU actively updates plans and protocols to ensure best practices in coordination with local, state and federal health officials.

These policies and regulations apply to all students, faculty, staff, vendors and campus visitors.

  • Masks are optional at CMU in all outdoor and indoor spaces, except those mandated by state or federal guidelines; this may include health clinics, public transportation and more. 
  • Vaccines are not mandatory; however, we encourage everyone to complete a full vaccine and booster regimen.
  • On-campus COVID-19 testing is available for individuals who are symptomatic or close contacts. Individuals who wish to receive a COVID-19 test for any other reason must call the Foust Hall Clinic at 989-774-6599 to make an appointment.
  • Daily completion of the health screening app is not required. Please use the CMU health screening app to report symptoms or close-contact status. You will be contacted with guidance on testing and next steps.
