Students in Grawn Hall recently met with recruiters from Enterprise Mobility, a global leader in transportation and mobility solutions headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.

Founded in 1957 by Jack Taylor, Enterprise began with a fleet of seven Cadillacs and one mission to help people get where they need to go. Nearly seven decades later, that mission has grown into an international company with more than 2 million vehicles operating in over 90 countries. Today, Enterprise offers a wide range of services, including fleet management, truck rentals, and vehicle sales.

“Enterprise provides real solutions to people’s everyday needs,” said Daniel King, talent acquisition professional at Enterprise Mobility. “As we help customers, we also create opportunities for growth from both a business and personal standpoint. It’s rewarding to see how much our work impacts people’s daily lives.”

During the campus visit, Enterprise representatives spent the day meeting with CMU students through classroom discussions, tabling sessions, and one-on-one conversations.

“It’s always a great experience engaging with CMU students,” King said. “They come prepared, ask thoughtful questions, and show genuine interest in learning about professional development and leadership opportunities.”

The visit gave students an inside look at Enterprise’s management training and internship programs, longstanding entry points for students interested in business operations, customer service, and leadership development.

Opportunities that drive growth

Enterprise Mobility offers a variety of roles for students and recent graduates, including internships, management trainee positions, and accounting and finance-focused internships.

“If you’re looking for an opportunity in leadership or want to make an impact in business, Enterprise is a great place to match your passions with growth,” King said. “Our management training program helps you learn the business from the ground up and prepares you for long-term success.”

King noted that Enterprise looks for candidates who bring a combination of leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

“We look for students who can communicate clearly, actively listen, and approach challenges with a solution-driven mindset,” he said. “A strong work ethic and professionalism really make a difference.”

A family-owned company with global reach

Students were also surprised to learn that Enterprise remains privately owned by the Taylor family, a fact that contributes to its strong organizational culture.

“Even though we operate in more than 90 countries, that family-owned foundation gives Enterprise a unique, supportive culture,” said Julia Annarino, talent acquisition manager at Enterprise Mobility. “When students think of a family-owned business, they often imagine something small, but Enterprise combines that personal feel with global opportunity.”

Annarino encouraged students to take a deeper look at employers beyond what they see as customers.

“People often know Enterprise for car rentals, but our employees get to do so much more,” she said. “Understanding the employee experience can help you find a company that truly aligns with your goals.”

Enterprise is a recurring CMU campus partner and has sponsored the CMU Sales Challenge for the past three years, continuing to build relationships that help Central Michigan University business students take the next step toward meaningful, leadership-driven careers.

Daniel King and Julia Annarino wear black long-sleeve zip up shirts and stand close with their arms around each other as they post in front of the recruiting table next to Business Student Services. The table has a blue Enterprise Mobility tablecloth.
