Open forums set for College of Business Administration associate dean finalists

Three finalists for the associate dean position in Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration will meet with university stakeholders this month.  

The following open forums will provide members of the CMU community with opportunities to meet the candidates and learn about their backgrounds and interest in this leadership position. Links to the position description, candidate feedback forms, and the option of virtual attendance at the forums are available below and through the  Office of the Provost website.

March 11 – Jana Craft

Craft currently holds several positions at Winona State University, including Professor in the Department of Business Administration, Director of Online Undergraduate Programs, and AACSB Accreditation Lead in the College of Business. Craft earned a doctorate in human resource development at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and a master’s degree in management at the College of St. Scholastica. Craft’s open forum will be held from 9:30-10:30 on Monday, March 11, in the Grawn Hall 150G and online.

March 18 – Stijepko Tokic

Tokic is a professor of Business Law and former chairperson of the Department of Accounting, Business Law, and Finance at Northeastern Illinois University, a position that he held for nine years. Tokic earned a J.D. degree at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University, and a Master of Laws degree at New York University School of Law. Tokic’s open forum will be held from 9:30-10:30 on Monday, March 18, in the Grawn Hall 150G and online.

March 25 – Sanjay Kumar

Kumar currently holds several positions at Valparaiso University, including Associate Dean in the College of Business, the Richard E. Meier Endowed Chair Professor of Management and Professor of Information and Decision Sciences. He is also a visiting professor at Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou, China. Kumar earned a doctorate in management science with a major in operations management and a master’s degree in management and administrative services with a major in supply chain management at the University of Texas at Dallas. Kumar’s open forum will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 25, in the Grawn Hall 150G and online.

Dean Chris Moberg announced the associate dean search in December 2023. Richard Rothaus, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, is chair of the search committee, which includes the following members:

  • Bailey Badgero, undergraduate student representative.
  • Ekhomen Ehimen-Ebitibituwa, graduate student representative.
  • Kendra Huckins, director of faculty employment and compensation.
  • Linda McCLain, executive secretary in Business Student Services.
  • Kyle Nothstine, faculty member in the Department of Business Information Systems.
  • Erica Peters, executive assistant to the provost.
  • Crina Tarasi, faculty member in the Department of Marketing, Hospitality & Logistics.
