Future Alumni Leader Award
Allison Brookshier
Entering her senior year fall 2019, Allison Brookshier is actively engaged in every facet of her Central Michigan University student experience. She balances a demanding academic course-load, extra-curricular activities, and works 20 hours weekly providing leadership to a staff of students who are actively involved in the recruitment and enrollment of CMU's future students.
Allison was recognized internally within Phonathon as a three-time Caller of the Month in 2018 before transitioning to lead the Enrollment Phonathon team. She is responsible for leading a staff of 15 students who have made over 100,000 calls to prospective CMU applicants throughout the enrollment cycle.
Allison is a Centralis Scholar, Ronald E. McNair Scholar, President of the Society for Women in STEM. As a Research Assistant to Professor Deric Learman she has a deep understanding of the behavior of Micro-bacterium and is credited in two published research papers relating to Microbiology. Allison has presented her research at three conferences and is the recipient of both the Heidelberg Excellence Scholarship and the WSWA Educational Foundation Scholarship.
Allison is heavily engaged in her academic pursuits, the Society for Women in STEM and the Organization of Women Leaders.
