Charles Burke
Charles Burke devotes his time and talents to the College of Business Administration.
He helped establish the Institute for Management Consulting by serving on the advisory board and coaching students on their consulting projects. In fall, 2006 he will join the institute as an adjunct professor.
Charles also serves on the advisory board for the LaBelle Entrepreneurial Center and has served as a judge of the annual business plan competition.
In addition, he developed and has taught a graduate-level course on how to foster innovation within an organization and how to be innovative as part of a team and as an individual. The course is part of the Master of Business Administration program curriculum.
He is chairman of Gema Diagnostics Inc., a spinout of Michigan State University, and he is past CEO of Dendritic Nanotechnologies in Mount Pleasant.
In addition to all his work for the College of Business Administration, Charles and his wife, Peggy, also support the College of Education and Human Services. They established a scholarship for middle-level educators, and they support the new education building.
