Jeff Dengate '00

Jeff Dengate, '00, has rapidly risen through the competitive and dynamic field of online communications.

He got his start as a business news producer for www.FoxNews.com in New York City. He then worked for two years as the new media marketing Web coordinator for Palace Sports and Entertainment of Auburn Hills. Then it was back to New York City to work for the National Basketball Association, first as a communications coordinator and now as features editor for NBA.com. As a student, Jeff was active in the broadcast and cinematic arts department, participating in co-curricular activities including the National Broadcasting Society and Moore Hall Television, for which he served as business grants director and station manager. He received several awards, including the Alpha Epsilon Rho Outstanding Member Award, the Moore Hall Television Outstanding Service Award, and the BCA Most Outstanding Student Award. Of more than 800 applicants, Jeff was one of a few who received a fellowship from the International Radio and Television Society.

He continues his membership in the International Radio and Television Society and Alpha Epsilon Rho, the honor society of the National Broadcasting Society.
