Summer has been working her way up the corporate ladder for Target ever since her graduation. Upon graduation, Summer went to work for Target as an assistant store manager. Managing the human resource operations of a large store in metro Detroit, Summer was quickly promoted to a store team leader (store manager). In 2013, Summer was promoted to a corporate role, overseeing the HR functions for a region of stores within the state of Michigan (roughly 25 stores). Recently, Summer was promoted to the HR Market Manager for Target, responsible for the HR functions for all of the Michigan Stores, Northern Ohio, and parts of Indiana, roughly 70 stores. She is one of the youngest professionals in company history to be promoted to this level, Summer has made several trips to Target's corporation headquarters to be acknowledged for her service.
