Nathan Tallman '07, '09

Nathan Tallman, ’07 and ’09, served as the first president of the Central Michigan University Young Alumni Board and now serves at the national level. Nathan was instrumental in chairing the development of the strategic plan for the Central Michigan University Alumni Association. His continued effort and support for Central Michigan University can be seen in his taking the time to speak at multiple Central Michigan events, including two commencement addresses. 

Currently, he works as the Corporate Development Director for Metro Wire & Cable (MWC). His responsibilities include leading MWC’s three facilities in Detroit (MI), Iowa City (IA), and Atlanta (GA) in its day-to-day operations of distributing electrical wire and accessories to business partners around North America. Nathan began at Metro after serving in several business capacities in the post-secondary education sector. Most recently, Nathan served as the Corporate Director of Government Relations at Ross Learning, LLC in St. Clair, Michigan. Prior to that, Tallman held administrative and faculty posts at Northwood University and Central Michigan University. In addition to working at Metro Wire & Cable Co., Nathan gives lectures for Central Michigan University on topics that cultivate understanding, retention of information, and comprehension of a variety of subjects related to leadership and management. 

A two-time graduate, Nathan earned his Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and his Bachelors of Science Degree in History and Leadership. Nathan has received several awards and honors for his achievements including, Honorary Initiate for both Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity and Sigma Alpha Lambda Leadership Fraternity, the Order of the Lion, Phoenix, and True Gentleman from Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Fraternity, and currently serves as a Business Advisory Consultant with the Macomb-OU Business Incubator.
