Honorary Alumni Award

The Honorary Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed upon loyal friends of Central Michigan University who are not alumni. This award recognizes individuals who make meaningful contributions and show dedication to CMU through their efforts or financial resources.

Honorary Alumni Award criteria

Recipients do not possess an earned degree from Central Michigan University and meet the following criteria:

Service and Support to Central Michigan University
The recipient's deeds and actions have a profound impact on supporting the University; its faculty, students, and/or alumni.
Promotion of Central Michigan University
Recipients display an enthusiasm to share experiences to help publicize and promote Central Michigan University on a local, state, or national scale.
Character
Recipients demonstrate a high moral character that is in alignment with the mission and goals of Central Michigan University.

Nominations for the 2024 Alumni Awards are open. Nominations will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Nominations received after March 31, 2024, will be considered for the 2025 Alumni Awards program.
