Distinguished Alumni Award

George K Gamble '92

Lieutenant Colonel George Gamble has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award due to his remarkable professional success. Colonel Gamble earned his Master of Science in Administration in 1992 from the CMU Center at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

He is the Deputy Chief of the Integration pision, Headquarters, United States Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. As Chief, he is responsible for the forward basing of all special operations forces and mobility platforms worldwide.

He has participated in military conflicts including Operation Thunderbolt which is Counter Drug Enforcement, Operation Will and Prime Chance, the Persian Gulf and Operation Just Cause, Panama. Colonel Gamble's exceptional service to the special operations community was recognized in 1997 and 1998 when he was named Central Florida's Army Aviator of the Year.

His awards and decorations also include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Junior Army Aviation Badge among many others.
