Professional Title:
Child Development Specialist/Project Manager

Favorite Spot on Campus:
So many – but much of my time was spent at the THEN Child Development Laboratories at Wightman Hall – great opportunity to interact personally with the professors and other child development students I was also the president of the Mt. Pleasant Association for the Education of Young Children for several years, which was then a state affiliate.

Favorite CMU Memory:
So many with roommates and friends. However, the growth I was afforded as an individual, leader, and professional. The officers of the AEYC Club attended the national NAEYC convention 4 years straight, often the only “students:” in a group of 20,000 – that set my career on track with those opportunities

Why do you serve as an ambassador of the University? :
The opportunity to be welcomed back in the CMU “family” is overwhelming. There are so many amazing talented exceptional individuals associated with this university. I want to be a contributor to the growth, strength, and momentum that is CMU.

What makes you most excited to give back to CMU? :
First, to learn what has changed since I left. Also, to capture the enthusiasm of the campus- move it forward, welcome others into the family, and create some support extensions to alumni and future students. We have so much potential to connect current and past students with one another- to reach the hand backward and forward to help everyone reach the steady ground.
