Dick Enberg CMU Alumni Commitment Award

The Dick Enberg CMU Alumni Commitment Award honors the legacy of the late hall-of-fame sports broadcaster Dick Enberg, '57. 

While his commentary was heard throughout the sports world, he always came back to his roots at Central Michigan University. He was an avid donor, an inspiring leader and a gracious supporter of up-and-coming CMU Chippewas through his time and endowments.

Award eligibility criteria 

To receive the Dick Enberg CMU Alumni Commitment Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a CMU alumna/alumnus.
  • Must be dedicated to advancing the university’s mission through engaging in volunteer opportunities, serving on committees/boards, sharing professional talent and knowledge, or assisting future, current and former CMU Chippewas and faculty.
  • Must support CMU through financial contributions.
  • Must have a reputation of quality, integrity and character that brings positive recognition to the university.
