Brittany Mouzourakis 2011

Upon graduating from CMU, Brittany attended Penn State Law School, receiving the Dean's Merit Scholarship. While at Penn State she earned awards for the highest grade in Legal Writing, Advocacy, and Civil Rights Appellate Clinic courses, as well as graduating as a member of the Woolsack Honor Society, an honor society for the top 15% of class. While in law school Brittany also served as a research assistant to a law professor, teaching fellow for LLM students, was the Managing Editor of the Penn State Law Review, and President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Brittany received the Miller Pro Bono Advocate Award in 2013. An additional honor Brittany received was a Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics, which is a highly competitive program that analyzes professional ethical issues in the backdrop of some of the greatest atrocities that occurred during the Holocaust. Brittany also served as a judicial clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Currently, she is an Associate at Dykema Law Firm. Brittany continues to be involved in the community as a member of the Attorneys for Animals organization and as a member of the Detroit Economic Club, as well as the Eastern District of Michigan's Federal Bar Association?. Formerly a member of the Founders Junior Council of the Detroit Institute of Arts.
