Karly Satkowiak 2009
Upon her graduation from CMU, Karly received a position at the White House. After 4 promotions within the White House, she assumed the role of direct advance lead to the President of the United States. With this role, she has a top security clearance and leads the president's trips around the world. She managed 7-12 member teams and partnered with Foreign Service officers from the Department of State and the National Security Council. Her responsibilities also included briefing the President on components of each trip and managing the evolution of events and meetings with foreign dignitaries, elected officials, and community leaders. She served as a primary coordinator with United States Secret Service (USSS) and White House Military Office (WHMO) advance teams to unite all missions. In Fall 2015, Karly left her position at the White House to begin law school at American University in Washington DC. She also serves on the Alumni board of directors for the CMU Volunteer Center.
