Dick Enberg CMU Alumni Commitment Award
W Curtis White '67, '68

W. Curtis White, ’67 M.S. ‘68, credits his professional success as owner and director of Aegis Environments in Midland to getting his start at CMU, and he shows his appreciation through in-kind and direct gifts as well as personal involvement.
Curtis is an active member of the College of Science and Technology Alumni Advisory Board and the Friends of Beaver Island group, which inspired him and a crew of helpers to donate time and resources last summer to treat the new and existing island facilities with his company’s antimicrobial product. He also made the product available to engineering and apparel design and merchandising faculty members using CMU’s body scanner to develop athletics clothing.
An avid CMU athletics fan, Curtis and his wife, Pat, have donated generously to athletics. They also have established an endowed scholarship for college students.
“If there is any way he can help CMU through his business, travels, financial, or moral support, he’s there,” his nominee wrote. “Curt’s commitment, volunteerism, and support are not limited to CMU. He is a remarkably giving person, and CMU can be very proud to have him as an alumnus.”
