Internationalization at CMU

The Office of Global Engagement promotes and advocates for internationalization across all facets of the university. We ground our efforts in the American Council on Education's CIGE Model for Comprehensive Internationalization.

Central Michigan University participated in the 14th cohort of the  ACE Internationalization Laboratory from 2016-2018. Through this process, CMU conducted an in-depth self-study, held collaborative conversations with campus and community stakeholders, and received an external review on our internationalization efforts. Resulting from our participation in the Lab, a data-driven strategic planning process is underway to align our efforts with institutional strengths, priorities, and long-term goals.
