Starting Fall 2026, CMU requires a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $2,000 for all incoming international students who have obtained their U.S. visa. Your enrollment deposit confirms your intention to attend and reserves your place for the semester.

This deposit is required for those that have obtained a visa and will be attending CMU.

  • The deposit is non-refundable.
  • The policy only applies to those that who have obtained their visa.
  • Exceptions: Students who are unable to travel to the U.S. due to emergency health issues or other uncontrolled situations may request an exception by contacting isss@cmich.edu.
