The whole household

George P. Peckham had land transactions with C.R. Wright 1869 through 1875. An Orville Peckham was in the Law firm of Peckham, Brown and Packard, located in 1st National Band Building in Chicago. Correspondence was carried on this letter head with James Dormer in Buffalo re a "Marquette Monument Ass", organized to erect a statue to Marquette in the "State Park at Mackinac Island".

George Peckham lived at the Point with his wife who started a Sunday school and Prayer Meeting.
Soon after George came, his father Ray Peckham followed. He bought a farm near Round Lake and lived there with his "amiable wife".
