When should I apply?
We encourage you to apply six months prior to the start of the term in which you wish to begin at CMU. We grant admission on a rolling basis, meaning that we will admit students for the next available semester of study as applications arrive, but you may wish to apply even earlier if you wish to live on campus.

The $35 application fee may be paid by check, money order or credit card. A fee waiver may be requested if you demonstrate financial need. Activte or veteran members of the U.S. military may have their fee waived by submitting a photocopy of the Form DD214. Please contact the Admissions Office at

Have your official transcripts sent directly to CMU from all colleges you have attended.
If you have completed fewer than 24 college credits, you must also submit your high school transcript.

Your application will be reviewed after the application form, fee or waiver, and all required transcripts have been submitted.
We review your cumulative GPA, academic rigor or strength of coursework, and trend in academic records. An admission decision will be mailed to your application address three-to-four weeks after all materials are received.
