Media Hall of Fame - Tim Roberts

Headshot of Tim Roberts in front of a black backdrop.Tim Roberts, 1982, Broadcast & Cinematic Arts: Roberts, Vice President/Brand Manager and Audacy Format Captain has over 4 decades of on-air and radio programming background across the U.S. He currently oversees 23 Audacy Country stations and the Audacy Country Network as well as Audacy Exclusive Channels, while also actively programming WYCD-FM, WOMC-FM in Detroit and working with WDZH-FM as Ops Mgr.

In 2005, Roberts joined the Detroit Audacy Cluster (formerly CBS Radio) as Operations Manager/Program Director at WYCD (Country) also adding Operations & Programming duties at WOMC (Classic Hits) and WDZH (Alternative). Tim also helps oversee some of the Motor City’s largest events including the legendary WYCD Hoedown, and the World’s Largest Classic Car Event, The Woodward Dream Cruise. He also oversees all major Audacy Country events including Stars & Strings, Totally Private Concerts, Leading Ladies and more. Mr. Roberts has experience in media in Major Markets such as New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco, Detroit, Miami and every region of the US.

In 2016 Mr. Roberts was elected to the National Country Radio Hall of Fame. In addition to the CMA Board of Directors where he leads the Radio and International Committees, he also is on the Board for the Country Radio Broadcasters where he co-chairs the Hall of Fame, he also serves on the CMA & ACM Board of Directors, St. Jude Country Cares Advisory Board, Central Michigan University BCA Alumni and The Friends of Cabrini Board of Directors. Tim was voted Radio Ink’s #1 Country Programmer in America multi times including in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and named to Radio Ink’s Best PDs in America list (all formats) again this year. He was named to Aircheck’s Power Player list for the last 16 years including 2024 & 2025. Mr. Roberts also was names to Billboards Power 31 list the last 10 Years. Recently WYCD was awarded the Marconi for Large Market (All Formats) Station of the Year in ’23. Mr. Roberts is a multi-CMA, ACM and Marconi winner including 2023, 2024, and 2025.

He currently resides between Farmington Hills, MI and Nashville, TN with his wife Lori, (also a CMU Broadcaster), and has 3 children Justin, Aaron and Kelcie.
