The Libraries’ New Transformative Agreements

The CMU Libraries recently signed transformative agreements with four journal publishers. A transformative agreement “transforms” the publishing process from the traditional subscription model to a new model in line with the open publishing model many publishers, libraries, and researchers are embracing today.

Welcome Lee Parker

Lee Parker, joined CMU Libraries on January 2, 2024. Lee as the new Instruction and Outreach Librarian. He will guide the library’s instruction efforts, including providing leadership for LIB 197, the library’s one-credit library skills class. He will also spearhead outreach to academic support units and other offices on campus in hopes of strengthening relationships and improving support for students.
